I had tickets for Lollapalooza this year. Primarily because I missed Morrissey at the Apollo and the betrothed wanted to see the Pixies in his lifetime. I was sorta looking forward to it.
But I'll admit I was relieved to hear it had been cancelled.

Duran Duran reuniting for a new album
CNN reports that uber-80s band (and a personal favorite of mine) Duran Duran will be releasing a new album on a new label - Epic. Its the first LP they've recorded together since 1983's Seven and the Ragged Tiger.
Growing up I had a Seven and the Ragged Tiger poster hanging on my bedroom door. I recall they were all wearing Capezios.
