I heart Fresh Direct

Fresh Direct is finally delivering to my neighborhood! You'd think a company based in Queens would deliver to Queens right away, but nooo.

Anyway, we've already ordered TWICE and the service has been available for a little over a week. The FD street team is hitting up my neighborhood hard - I try to avoid them because they don't seem to believe that I have actually ordered multiple times.

Besides having great food delivered right to your door, I've discovered another upside: no impulse buys. I just stay away from the Snacks section. I suppose at the store I could not wander down the snacks aisle, but those damn endcaps get me every time.

Thank you Fresh Direct! You rule!

I'm contemplating whether or not to keep my name when I get married. Do I stay Bellinghausen, or take on a new, later in the alphabet/sitting in the back of class/will be mistaken for Quebecois last name? Having lived with this last name for over 30 years now, the change will be tough. But as of now I'm leaning towards changing it.

Had Penelope married Tom, she wouldn't have such issues.

Free Martha!

Now that Martha has been found guilty, what will her sentence be?

Martha Stewart, sentenced to 5 years in prison for rich people - a South Florida gated retirement community.

Martha is to be available 24-7 to assist residents with all their domestic needs - cooking, decorating, organization, crafts, etc. No request too small - all questions welcome. Martha is here to serve you.

She will prepare a formal dinner at a different home every night of the week, as well as host a monthly themed banquet for all residents and their guests.

Every Tuesday and Thursday night is "101s with Martha" at the clubhouse. Wednesday and Friday mornings, visit "Martha's Garden" for a live demonstration. Q&A to follow.

For housing, Martha will be provided with a modest condo, but no maid service.
