Clumsy

I fall alot. Hard.

Last night, for example, I managed to trip over my pajama pants (which I was wearing at the time). As I fell forward, the glass of water I was holding landed on and completely soaked my clock radio, which after flickering various numbers and ghost in the machine characters, settled on permanently displaying 0:00. I have a nasty bruise on my pinky, and I narrowly missed knocking myself out on the nightstand.

I predict orthroscopic surgery in my very near future. And I need a new alarm clock!

Orange Plus

Is it an ING savings account? Is it a new and improved As Seen On TV cleaning product? Nope, its New York City!

NYC is on orange plus alert. New York has been on orange alert since September 11th, 2001. When the rest of the country got moved to yellow, we stayed at orange. But now that the rest of the country is orange, we're "orange plus." Or red-orange. Whatever the color, its not good.

Don't be a bad parent

CDs make lousy gifts for kids (unless you're giving Kidz Bop, in which case you are a model parent and should be held in the highest regard.)

In defense of the music industry, it takes a real lot of money to make an artist popular. And since record companies aren't doing charity work, they need to make some of this money back through CD sales.

Ghosts in Hampton Court?

CNN reports a "ghost" was caught on camera at Hampton Court, the former residence of Henry VIII. (Not to be confused with Hampton Court, the co-op on the corner of Metropolitan Ave and Park Lane South.)

The most wonderful time of the year

ABC News reports there's a threat to NYC involving a female suicide bomber. I usually don't pay attention to anything unless it appears in giant letters on the scary red bar on the CNN.com homepage, so we'll see.

Christmas Rocks

Finally got around to reorganizing the site. Well, some of it. Still working on the other pages.

I can't believe Christmas is next week. I also can't believe that in the UK, you can place bets on what the #1 Christmas single is going to be. My money is on The Darkness, but I'm rooting for dark horse Bill Nighy from Love Actually.
